Scott Davis Selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur at the Athens ISP

Athens, Greece. Scott Davis, Co-Founder and CEO of Vescent, has been selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur at the 108th Endeavor International Selection Panel (ISP), held July 13 to 15, 2026 in Athens, Greece. He joins a global network of founders building and scaling the companies that define their industries.
Scott has been building Vescent for a long time. He co-founded the original company in a garage in 2002 and sold its liquid-crystal beam-steering technology to Analog Devices, then returned as CEO in 2020 to rebuild it around a new mission: building the hardware the quantum industry runs on.

Quantum computers control individual atoms with lasers, and those lasers have to stay perfectly stable or the machine stops giving reliable answers. Vescent builds the lasers, the RUBRIComb frequency combs that keep them precisely calibrated, and the control electronics that tune the whole system. It packages all of it into a single ruggedized stack built to work outside a climate-controlled lab.
If quantum is a gold rush, Vescent sells the picks and shovels. It is the hardware layer beneath a fast-growing industry, and it is already shipping at scale: more than 10,000 quantum-enabling photonic solutions built and delivered to date, and its newest product, the MIRIDIAN optical clock, unveiled in late 2025.
A NIST spinout born out of JILA research, Vescent now runs from Golden, Colorado, with a European base at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. It is also a founding force in the Colorado quantum ecosystem through Elevate Quantum and QED-C.

“Entrepreneurs are an amazing but admittedly odd group of people. We are builders of jobs, economies, and technology disruptions. We are also risk takers and a bit iconoclastic as we fight against the odds. Endeavor is a select group of these amazing oddballs who are winning that fight. I am so honored to have myself and Vescent recognized as an Endeavor entrepreneur. What we do is hard. Now as part of Endeavor our community of fellow entrepreneurs and support network is global; we’re not in this fight alone!” said Scott Davis, Co-Founder and CEO of Vescent.
“We are thrilled to welcome Scott and Vescent into the Endeavor global network. I first toured Scott’s facility in Golden three years ago and saw quickly what makes him rare: he understands the physics of quantum as deeply as anyone, and he understands the business and capital needs of a company approaching its inflection point just as well. Scott has led Vescent to remarkable growth while also helping make Colorado one of the best places in the world to build a quantum company, and we look forward to supporting both Vescent and the broader ecosystem he is helping build.” said Zeb King, Managing Director of Endeavor Colorado.
The Endeavor ISP brings together experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders from around the world to evaluate founder-led companies on growth potential, leadership, and long-term impact. As an Endeavor Entrepreneur, Scott gains access to Endeavor's global platform: mentorship from founders who have scaled before him, a peer network across more than 45 markets, and the growth resources that come with it. In return, he joins a community built on paying it forward, where entrepreneurs open doors for one another.

Vescent is the second quantum company in Endeavor Colorado's portfolio, alongside Maybell Quantum. Together they mark Colorado as one of the places where the hard, physical layer of the quantum industry actually gets built.
