It started on a napkin in Buenos Aires.
In 1997, a Harvard business school graduate named Linda Rottenbergtook a taxi in Buenos Aires. The driver had a PhD in engineering. When she asked why he didn't start a company, he answered with a question of his own: “Empresario?”
Spanish had no word for entrepreneur. So Linda and Peter Kellner sketched one onto a napkin: a global home for the founders who already existed everywhere, but had nowhere to go.

A high bar for global entrepreneurship.
Each year, Endeavor screens 5,000+ candidates and selects fewer than 1.6% as Endeavor Entrepreneurs (EEs). Only those final candidates gaining unanimous approval from the International Selection Panel (ISP) earn the seal of approval.
