Late last month, Adeel Khan, Founder and CEO of MagicSchool AI, was honored with the Growth and Innovation Medal as part of the Colorado Governor’s Citizenship Medals, Colorado’s highest recognition for civic leadership and service. The award was presented by Jared Polis at the History Colorado Center as the state celebrated its 150th anniversary.
The Growth and Innovation Medal recognizes leaders whose work strengthens communities and expands what is possible for Colorado’s future. Adeel was recognized for building MagicSchool AI into one of the most widely adopted education technology platforms in the country. In just a few short years, MagicSchool has scaled rapidly, reaching millions of educators and students and supporting classrooms across Colorado and beyond. The platform helps teachers use AI safely and responsibly to improve student outcomes while giving them back valuable time.
As the child of an educator and someone who has spent significant time around the education sector, it was especially meaningful to see the impact Adeel and the MagicSchool team have achieved so quickly. Their work blends innovation, equity, and practical application, demonstrating how AI can be thoughtfully integrated into education in ways that support, rather than replace, teachers.
Last fall, Adeel was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur, and we look forward to supporting MagicSchool’s continued growth as the company taps into Endeavor’s global network of founders, investors, and mentors across more than 50 countries to support its next phase of scale.
